I first appreciate your time in this discussion.
The problem I got seems very common. It is about the relationship between port BC and PML.
I use a rectangular waveguide as the antenna. One face (No 1) of it is set to port BC with TE10 mode. The other face (No 2) is open. The rest four boundaries of the waveguide are PEC. A dielectric sphere is put outside the waveguide near to face No 2. Wave coming out of face No 2 radiates the sphere and is scattered. Wave is supposed not coming out of face No 1. Finally I want to get the fields in the whole computation domain. I think a PML should be built enclosing the waveguide and sphere to mimic an infinite region. So I draw a sphere with layer and set it as PML. But after the PML is enabled, the port at face No 1 is disabled. I have studied some posts about PML and port BC, but is still not clear what shall I use for this specific example.
